I still have dreams, they’re not the same

They don’t fly as high as they used to.

March into the Sea

if you think you know enough to know enough to know you’ve had enough and if you think you don’t you probably will

Your goal is not to change everyone, your goal is to change someone.

What if it was all just as simple as being nice?

Being nice to everyone, all the time.

And what if by just being nice to eveyone, you got it all back, in spades.

What if it was really that simple?

NOLA

“The only excursion of my life outside of New Orleans took me through the vortex to the whirlpool of despair: Baton Rouge. . . . New Orleans is, on the other hand, a comfortable metropolis which has a certain apathy and stagnation which I find inoffensive.“ - John Kennedy Toole, A Confederacy of Dunces

Next to the ocean, my favorite place in the world to be is New Orleans. I love the city and the people, the food and oh, the music. Getting off the plane, you can smell the city in the thickness of the air. No place like it on earth.

Early morning walks along thw river with a cup of coffee and chickory. Watching the fog slowly makes its way off the river.

People watching in Jackson square. Taking in all the sights, sounds and smells that the city has to offer.

Parades, you run into parades anywhere, at any time. People having fun, loving their city.

Walking down the streets, no place  to be and in no hurry to get there. “I know what it means”.

Ignatius Reilly sums it up best. “Leaving New Orleans also frightened me considerably. Outside of the city limits the heart of darkness, the true wasteland begins.”
